چکیده مقاله:

Blinking and eye movement are one of the most important abilities that most people have, even people with spinal cord problem. By using this ability these people could handle some of their activities such as moving their wheelchair without the help of others. One of the most important fields in Human-Robot Interaction is the development of artificial limbs working with brain signals. The purpose of this project consists in detecting blinking and left and right eye movements via electroencephalogram signals which is also useful in determining sleepiness. Moving Window, Fast Fourier Transform and Wavelet Transform are the methods which are used in this project. Obtained results reveals that the most reliable method to recognize blinking and eye movements is Fast Fourier Transform since it is almost insensitive and invariant to the defined variables. After recognition of blinking and eye movement, these actions are transferred to a robot which is called the spherical 2-DOF parallel robot, first built at Laval University.. . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . .. . . . . .. . . . . .. . . . . .. . . . . .. . . . . .. . . . . .. . . . . .. . . . . .. . . . . .. . . . . .. . . . . .. . . . . .. . . . . .. . . . . .. . . .

a new type-ii fuzzy logic based controller for non-linear dynamical systems with application to 3-psp parallel robot

abstract type-ii fuzzy logic has shown its superiority over traditional fuzzy logic when dealing with uncertainty. type-ii fuzzy logic controllers are however newer and more promising approaches that have been recently applied to various fields due to their significant contribution especially when the noise (as an important instance of uncertainty) emerges. during the design of type- i fuz...

Robot control system using SMR signals detection

One of the important issues in designing a brain-computer interface system is to select the type of mental activity to be imagined. In some of these systems, mental activity varies with user intent and action that must be controlled by the brain-computer system, and in a number of other signals, the received signals contain the same activity-related mental activity that should be performed by t...

Experimental design and signal selection for construction of a robot control system based on EEG signals

Aiming to develop an noninvasive BMI control system with EEG (electroencephalogram) signals to control external devices such as prostheses and robots for rehabilitation and/or power support, four different tasks corresponding to different brain excitation degrees are designed. Their EEG spectra are analyzed with short-time fast Fourier transform (STFFT), and their features of mu and beta rhythm...

Using Eye Blinking for EOG-Based Robot Control

This paper proposes a new approach to real-time robot controlling by integrating an Electrooculography (EOG) measuring device within humanrobot interaction (HRI). Our study focuses on controlling robots using EOG for fulfilling elementary robot activities such as basic motor movements and environment interaction. A new EOG-based HRI paradigm has been developed on the specific defined problem of...

Detection of movement intention using EEG in a human-robot interaction environment

Introduction: This paper presents a detection method for upper limb movement intention as part of a brainmachine interface using EEG signals, whose final goal is to assist disabled or vulnerable people with activities of daily living. Methods: EEG signals were recorded from six naïve healthy volunteers while performing a motor task. Every volunteer remained in an acoustically isolated recording...

Dynamic Movement Primitives for Human Robot interaction

A specialization of the generic Dynamic Movement Primitives (DMP) framework is proposed in this article to correctly address a key activity for human robot collaboration that is object exchange. As a first step towards implementing this challenging skill, this paper focuses on the arm motion to reach the initially unknown exchange site. Two improvements related with this application are propose...
